Description Black and photograph of a bedroom located in a tenement back room. Part of a bed with a metal frame is visible on the left, one bed leg has been places inside a tin can (perhaps as a way to prevent insects from crawling from the floor into the bed). Clothing can be seen hanging on the right. There is a trunk near the head of the bed with a small side table placed upside down on it. A spindled back, "gingerbread" style chair is against the wall under the clothing. A pair of lace up shoes are on the floor near the wall. A curtain used to cover the doorway has been tacked aside.
