Description Color photograph depicting the interior of Sidney Undergarment Company, located in the basement storefront at 97 Orchard Street. Pictured, from left to right are: Owner of Feltly Hats, located on second floor of 97 Orchard Street; a man who worked at Feltly's; Sidney Meda, proprietor of Sidney Undergarment Company; another employee of Feltly's; and Frances Meda, Sidney Meda's wife. They are pictured drinking Metaxa, Greek Brandy, and Jack Daniels and have a Blimpies sandwich. According to his granddaughter, Batya Halpern, Sidney would wash out the paper cups and reuse them after such celebrations. Sidney Undergarment Company operated out of the south basement storefront at 97 Orchard Street during the 1970's. The store closed in 1979.
